In order to play Shards of Dalaya, you need an EverQuest expansion pack with expansions going up to Gates of Discord minimum. Any install dated after the Gates of Discord expansion (2004) will work!

The following list is simply for your convenience - remember that any post Gates of Discord Everquest install will work with our server regardless of its source.

5. *Online Download* Everquest: Underfoot

1. Go to the registration page and create an account.
2. Download the Shards of Dalaya Patcher and unzip it to any folder.
3. Familiarize yourself with the rules by reading them here, this step contains vital information.
4. Run the Shards of Dalaya patcher program (sodpatcher.exe) and direct it to the eqgame.exe file in your EQ folder. Click the Patch and Run button.
5. Login with the account you created in step 1, and have fun.
6. When you start the game, you will find yourself in a strange dream. To complete the dream, you must speak to the NPCs inside of it. Use the 'Hail' key to initiate conversation. Make sure you go into Options (Alt-O) and move the "Clip Plane" slider under "Display" to 100% before you attempt to proceed in The Dream.

Q) I crash whenever I try to make a character!
A) Always, always launch the game through the patcher.

Q) I did! It's still not working!
A) Delete whatever custom UI you are using and restore to the default UI, THEN patch again.

Q) I'm getting problems with connecting to the loginserver, but Shards of Dalaya shows as "Up" here!
A) Always, always launch the game through the patcher. Do you see a pattern here?
